Located in the heart of Collinwood, Tennessee, Q Barbecue Co. stands out as a warm and welcoming family restaurant where authentic barbecue meets a diverse menu crafted for all tastes. The moment you step inside their roomy dining area on Depot Street, the inviting atmosphere sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. This space is clearly designed with families and groups in mind, providing comfort without the fuss, allowing the food to take center stage.

At Q Barbecue Co., the brisket is nothing short of legendary. It melts on the tongue with a richness that speaks to slow smoking and expert seasoning. This "Brisket Simply Pure Deliciousness," as locals describe it, anchors the menu but is matched by an array of equally satisfying offerings. The ribs platter, chicken tenders, and smash burger all showcase the kitchen’s dedication to combining traditional barbecue roots with inventive twists. One standout is the Mac Smash burger, which layers seasoned beef with melted cheddar and fresh toppings, finished with their signature housemade fry sauce—a nod to classic Southern flavors elevated by thoughtful craftsmanship.

For those seeking variety beyond smoked meats, the menu embraces global influences with items like Tandoori Chicken and a comforting tomato soup, catering to a broad spectrum of palates. Their starters, particularly the loaded chips and queso piled with pulled meats and drizzled with house Q sauce, set a high bar for what to expect. Crispy curly fries and the sidewinder fries topped with smoked chicken or fried offerings speak to a mastery of textures and flavors that delight both young and old alike.

What truly distinguishes Q Barbecue Co. is the genuine hospitality noted by patrons. Friendly, attentive staff consistently ensure that every visit feels personal and unhurried. Guests appreciate the cleanliness and fresh taste of even the smallest details, like their famously clean drink machines serving fresh Dr Pepper. Families, locals, and visitors alike find this spot to be a gem, where even picky eaters leave satisfied, and nostalgia is woven into every bite. Whether you're dropping in for a casual meal or craving true Tennessee barbecue excellence, Q Barbecue Co. delivers an authentic taste experience that invites you to return again and again.

Best food in the county, hands down. Exactly the place I was looking for and I will be back again and again. Everything was made from scratch and delicious, the brisket melted away like warm butter, the Mac and cheese tasted like someone’s grandmother made it, the slaw was terrific. The fried pickles will knock you out they are so good. Small spot that reminds me of being back home. Cannot recommend enough.

We're from out of town and have a fairly high bar for BBQ. This place was great. Unassuming, with great food. The brisket was as good as any I've had and the burgers etc. made the kids happy.

WOW what an *incredible* experience! I wish I could give 10 stars! The food was SO. GOOD. My husband and I are still talking about it an hour later lol He got the smashed burger and I got the BLT! The sidewinder fries were STELLAR, and the baked beans were also great! Definitely recommend trying their fry sauce—yum! Even my picky toddler scarfed down baked beans, grilled cheese, fries, chips & queso! Our server was just the sweetest and made sure our drinks stayed refilled (the Dr Pepper was fresh and so good. You can tell they clean their drink machines, which is rare to find.). It was clean and inviting inside. We live 30 minutes away, but we can’t wait to come back!!

Fantastic place. Great food. A real find! Don’t let the unassuming appearance outside throw you off. Clean but no antiseptic smell when you walk in. Great lighting. Homey feel. Country southern music set at to a nice level to where you can actually hear each other talk and hold a conversation. Friendly owners and staff. Felt very welcome. Professional. Not expensive! Owners, a husband and wife team, prepare just about everything from scratch. Very fresh, top quality ingredients and nice presentation of the dishes. But remember it’s a simple, straightforward kind of place with no pretense. This restaurant uses real stainless and real plates which we prefer. Unfortunately too many reasonably priced restaurants in the USA use throw away plastic. We had the smoked chicken salad with campfire dressing. Beautiful arrangement on the plate. Delicious boneless smoked chicken that the owner smokes himself, served on a bed of very fresh salad greens with corn, thinly sliced cucumbers, carrots, cherry tomatoes, and a light amount of cheese that had been melted on top of the smoked chicken. Very tasty custom made “campfire” dressing. Sides of yummy baked beans (her mother’s recipe) and macaroni and cheese. For dessert we tried the 5 spice cake with orange infused icing (real orange zest). Homemade! The cake was delicious; made on site; not icy cold or stale like many restaurants. Excellent iced tea. Treat yourself and go! And very conveniently located a short distance from the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Hands down the best burger and fries I’ve ever ate. The macaroni is phenomenal. I would eat here everyday if it was possible. Super family friendly, with lots of choices for kids. A white board is given to the kids to play on while waiting for food. The smash burgers are delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing with both tables and booths available. A+ restaurant
